freedom isn't free! if you are not a member of the national rifle association, you should give some serious thought to supporting this organization. the NRA helps us everyday by defending our right to bear arms and to defend our property. "armed people are citizens, unarmed people are subjects!" there were a lot of people who came out to support this very worthy cause and we appreciate the opportunity to serve this organization by providing auction services at no cost. I DOUBT THAT THERE IS ANYONE IN THE WORLD WHO HAS NOT BEEN DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY CANCER...WHETHER IT BE THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE, FRIEND OR THE DEVASTATION CAUSED BY THIS KILLER. DR. MARK BYARD (UROLOGIST AT DOTHAN SPECIALTY CLINIC) IS THIS YEAR'S CHAIRMAN OF THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY AND DID A GREAT JOB PUTTING THIS EVENT TOGETHER. WE AT WATSON AUCTION & REALTY ARE TRULY BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN AFFORDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONTRIBUTE AT LEAST A SMALL PART TOWARDS THIS EVENT. IF YOU MISSED THIS ONE, IT IS CERTAINLY YOUR LOSS. NOW FOLKS, IF YOU MISSED THIS ONE, IT WAS YOUR ON FAULT. WE HAD AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL DAY AND DEALS WERE EVERYWHERE. WE STARTED OUT WITH NOTHING BUT SETBACKS. WHEN WE GOT UP THE MORNING OF THE AUCTION, WHITNEY WAS SICK AND UNABLE TO ATTEND. LISA GRIMES (OUR HEAD CASHIER) WAS ON VACATION. CHRIS SMITH CAME IN ON SHORT NOTICE TO CLERK FOR US. Chris has been around auctions all his life and the job was just "old hat" to him. out of the blue, Angela cherry showed up...she has never worked an auction before but she jumped in without even being asked and she caught on very quickly to the cashier's job. god truly provided for us when the chips were down. we look forward to Angela working with us in the future. WHAT A TURNOUT! IT WAS STANDING ROOM ONLY. I AM SO SORRY WE WERE NOT ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE EVERYONE WITH SEATING BUT WE HAD LIMITED SPACE. CONGRATULATIONS TO LEON DAVIS OF CC CLASSIC CARS ON WINNING THE $100.00 CASH PRIZE! IF YOU DON'T KNOW LEON, YOU NEED TO MEET HIM. HE IS A FINE MAN AND IF YOU EVER NEED AN OLD VEHICLE REFURBISHED, LEON IS YOUR MAN. HE IS A REGULAR AT THE BARRETT-JACKSON auto AUCTIONS YOU SEE ON TELEVISION. HE DOES SOME UNBELIEVABLE WORK ON OLD CARS. WHEN HE GETS THROUGH WITH ONE, IT LOOKS BETTER THAN BRAND NEW.
